Who We Are

Inside Wiremen

Inside wiremen; a.k.a construction electricians represent the majority of Local 191 members. Our members are employed by many contractors working for a variety of customers. The scope of our work ranges from service calls to heavy industrial. We build schools, churches, shopping centers, oil refineries, and a host of other facilities.

Whether our electricians came up through our apprenticeship program or were organized in, they are recognized as some of the finest craftsmen in the industry. We pride ourselves as getting our work done on time, on budget, and right the first time.

Sound & Communications

The sound and communications unit of Local 191 is a unit dedicated to installing and maintaining a wide range of low voltage and telecommunications equipment and wiring. We represent workers in the construction industry who specialize in telecommunications, fiber optics, fire alarm, security, energy management, and low voltage lighting control systems. We pride ourselves on our skills and knowledge. We are pleased to offer our technicians access to BICSI Technician certification and offer courses that are relevant to the industry for all of our technicians.

Residential Wiremen

The residential unit is a group of well trained and hard working residential electricians and apprentices. We take pride in our work and are constantly expanding our contractor base. The residential unit is qualified for all phases of residential construction, including new home construction, trouble shooting, and remodels. We are happy to report there is no job too big or too small.  Our contractors know that they are providing living wages and health care in an industry where that is rare. We make a good team and are proud to serve our communities with our quality craftsmanship.
