The COPE Committee meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Mt. Vernon Dispatch Trailer.

Dear IBEW 191 Brothers and Sisters:

   Five of the Democratic candidates for the 1st Congressional District appeared before the Snohomish County Labor Council on January 25th to present their views.  Darrell Chapman was re elected President.  Congratulations to him. 
 
   Senator Steve Hobbs has decided to support the proposed Senate Building Jobs Potential Bill, which we and the North Sound Alliance have been supporting.

   February 8th and 9th the State Labor Council will endorse the Governor, Attorney General, and the US Senate candidates.  President Lorenzo will select the delegates.
   Nicole Grant, State IBEW Political Coordinator, has invited two carloads of 191 members to the legislature on March 2nd to meet the lobby their Legislators.  Think about if you can attend and let me know.

   The State Labor Council will meet with the 1st Congressional candidates on March 23rd at the Aerospace Machinists' Union hall in Everett.  The doors open at 6:00 pm and meeting starts at 7:00 pm.  We want as many 191 members to attend this event as possible.

   On May 5th the State Labor Council will endorse the remaining Congressional and Statewide candidates.

   This is the timeline to the best of my knowledge at this time.
